Star-shaped poly(<scp>l</scp>-lysine) with polyester bis-MPA dendritic core as potential degradable nano vectors for gene delivery

چکیده
Efficient initiation from ammonium trifluoroacetate salts (TFA) dendritic end-groups yields well-defined poly( l -lysine) star polypeptides with 8, 16 and 32 arms. Hydrolytic core degradation plasmid DNA complexation is demonstrated.

Hydrogels assembled from star-shaped polypeptides with dendrimer as core
A second or fourth generation dendrimer with primary amine as peripheral terminal groups was firstly synthesized via Michael addition and thiol-yne addition. A series of star-shaped polypeptide was synthesized by ring opening polymerization (ROP) of γ-(2-(2-methoxyethoxy)ethyl) L-glutamate (LEG2Glu) N-carboxyanhydride (NCA) using amine group terminated dendrimer as initiator. Taking advantage o...

Gene therapy bases its rationale on the transfer of genetic components (genes or fragments thereof) into somatic cells, with the aim of preventing, correcting, or healing various types of disorders. After this introductory sentence you expect us to start telling you some of the marvellous achievements in setting up the tools that allow this transfer. However, before entering into the intricate ...

Objective(s): First, 10-bromodecanoic acid was covalently attached to all available surface primary amines of PPI G2 and G3 to increase their lipophilicity. In the subsequent step, PPIs were conjugated to the alkylcarboxylate groups of alkylcarboxylate-PPI derivatives to increase the number of surface primary amines. Physicochemical properties of modified PPIs were determined. Transfection expe...
